Quietblock

Help with Quietblock

Start with the site controls. Keep your private rules and browsing data on your device.

A website stopped working

Open Quietblock on that site and choose Pause & reload. If the site works again, leave it paused while you investigate. Choose Resume & reload to restore protection.

In Settings, Paused sites accepts hostnames such as example.com. An entry also pauses its subdomains.

Allow one request without pausing a site

Add an exception in Your rules, save, and reload the page. For example:

@@||api.example.com^

Use real line breaks, without trailing backslashes. A request exception keeps the other page-filtering layers active.

Ads remain, or a filter update fails

Site repairs arrive with Quietblock extension updates. Downloaded lists cannot introduce new repair scripts. Keep extension updates enabled after installing from the Chrome Web Store.

Check that protection and the intended lists are enabled. Use Update now in Settings and inspect its result. Filter publishers receive ordinary connection metadata when lists are downloaded.

Chrome-internal pages and the Chrome Web Store cannot be filtered. No blocker can promise to remove every advertisement or remain undetectable on every website.
